Saramonic SmartRig is an audio converter used for music devices such as guitars or microphones to cameras, DLSR camcorders, phones, laptops or tablets. This device from Saramonic is very compact and suitable for many different forms of filming and recording. The SmartRig itself can also provide power as well as a mono/stereo button that supports the type of sound you need to use.

The SmartRig line itself also has a variety of output cables such as 3.5 mm, USB-C and Lightning based on the audio storage device you want to use.

Recording from an instrument just got simpler with the Saramonic SmartRig Adapter

The Saramonic SmartRig+ and SmartRig II adapters will provide full sound quality from the audio sources you need to record such as guitars, camera microphones, mixers, etc. Conventional or cardioid recording microphones are still capable miss sounds from the environment. So SmartRig is present in the system when you livestream, perform or record video, it will fully support you in terms of sound. You only need to worry about image quality.

Diverse connection ports

SmartRig+ and SmartRig II have three different types of inputs, and there are two of each: XLR, 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) and 1/8 inch (3.5 mm). All inputs work well, and you can use all four simultaneously.

The XLR inputs can provide +48 volts phantom power to the microphone extremely efficiently, allowing you to use almost any type of microphone.

The 1/4 inch (6.5 mm) inputs are designed for various impedances to provide the best sound quality for electric guitars and basses, as well as acoustic instruments that come with controls.

Crisp sound quality

SmartRig+ is equipped by Saramonic with a Mono/Stereo switch, allowing you to choose how channels will be mixed when connected to a camera or mobile device. When set to Mono mode, whatever you plug in will have both channels recorded on the camera or mobile device. Mono mode is useful when you only have a single microphone plugged in, as audio will be recorded from both channels on the camera or mobile device. Stereo mode comes in handy if you plug in two microphones or instruments, as both channels will be recorded as separate tracks. This gives you better editing options during post-recording production.

SmartRig II only has one audio channel, so it is suitable if you record using a musical instrument, but the sound quality will still be clear and not inferior to SmartRig+.

If you record videos on your smartphone, you can connect professional shotgun and lavalier microphones to greatly improve your audio quality.

Pre-amplifiers deliver louder yet clear sound. In case your camera lacks a headphone port, you can use the port on the Saramonic SmartRig adapter.
